LOS ANGELES TIMES
¤ “Casual and appealing, Manzanita is in a rustic old building with
high ceilings and a wood burning oven. The wine list is fairly priced, truly
interesting and eclectic-just what you hope to find in the wine country. Pizzas
from the wood-burning oven are terrific, with toppings that make sense.”
SUNSET MAGAZINE
¤ “It’s hard to go wrong at this high-style newcomer: Save room

2006 ZAGAT SURVEY
¤ This
“low-key spot” in downtown Healdsburg “doesn’t get much press, but it should”
swear “locals” who maintain the “warm, professional service” is among the best
in town; you can “eat in the wine cellar”, “at the bar” (where there’s “always
a chance to spot a famous winemaker”) or in the “comfortable”, rustic main room
that’s filled with “lovely smells from the wood burning fireplace” where much
of the “diverse and inventive” Mediterranean fare (“from fish” to “delicious
pizza”) is prepared.
SF FOOD LOVER’S GUIDE
¤ “Manzanita strikes the
right tone. The small dining room is
just what you’re looking for in a country restaurant, while the lush, modern
cooking would please anyone, anywhere. When it comes to a Healdsburg
destination, Manzanita is my choice.” Patricia Unterman
